Born January 15, 1960. I was born
with Arthrogryposis Multiplex
Congentia. My humor is based on
observations from my point of
view. I cover many topics ranging
from sex to politics, (duh
aren't they the same) sports,
celebrities, holidays
etc...
I graduated from Royal Oak Kimball
High School in 1979. I received
several varsity letters as equipment
manager in baseball,
basketball and football.
I graduated from Metropolitan State
College With a BS in Marketing.
In the summer of 1984 I was watching
a program called PM Magazine a
forerunner of ET, they had Jerri
Jewell performing at the Improv
Comedy Club in Los Angeles. Jerri is
an actress with Cerebral Palsy who
played on the TV show Facts of Life.
That gave me the inspiration to
become a standup comic. So in August
of 84 I stepped on the comedy stage
for the first time and have been
hooked ever since.
I finally
graduated from Metro in December of
89 and
the following month I went on my
first comedy road tour. That
tour took me all the way to Georgia
and Florida. That was a heck
of a long drive for me. I had no
idea that in the spring I would
be performing at a Holiday Inn in
Aruba. That was the best month
long gig I've done and had the
pleasure of meeting Chuck
Norris, John Travolta and soap star
Walt Willey. For 5 years I
traveled all over the country, but
mainly worked in the Midwest
and southeast. Also in January of
1995 I had the extreme pleasure
of entertaining our troops in Japan
and South Korea. I never
dreamed that this career would take
me all over the world. I feel
very lucky for the path I've chosen.
In July 2009 I became a candidate
for Colorado House district 41.
April 2010 I was defeated at the
county assembly. I then went on to
help other candidates and ballot
issues for the 2010 election. May of
2010 I was asked to be a guest on a
local talk radio show. I was asked
back many time until I became the
co-host and producer. The show ended
in September when the host suddenly
left the show. I used the experience
that I acquired and started my own
internet radio talk show called
"Art's Place" on April 2nd 2011. |
